Who Dental Implants Are For


For whom dental implants are indicated

Implant treatment is a solution for patients  who have lost only one tooth or for those who are completely edentulous.

 

For whom dental implants are not indicated:

Uncontrolled systemic or dental diseases, like uncontrolled periodontal disease, are contraindications. However, when these factors are treated and controlled, implant therapy is a valuable solution.

Adolescent patients should not be treated with implants as their bones are still growing.

Be aware that heavy smoking also decreases the success rate of implants.
